-Bring your REAL thinking cap. Not that dumb looking fake ass thinking cap you wear whenever a Resident Evil game presents you with a unicorn statue featuring “what appears to be a circular cavity.” Gosh, Resident Evil, I wonder if this “Unicorn Medallion” fits!?

So that time is nearing, Nerd Wars is fast approaching and we're working diligently on making this year top last year's party.  Let me recap some of last year with a pic or two.....

Conan The Barbarian #3

Queen of the Black Coast charges on
bringing Wood and Cloonan’s first arc on the book to a close. I’ll
admit going into this book I had heard of Conan, but I’ve never
really followed the character in any real sense over the years. Also,
in a problem that I’ve quickly remedied, I had never hugely
followed Brian Wood nor Becky Cloonan. Though it turns out everyone
involved is fitting in quite nicely to this book.

Action Comics #8, or, The Road So

When Grant Morrison was announced as
one of the new Superman writers in the New 52, I was very excited.
All Star Superman is one of my favorite Superman stories, and I was
looking forward to getting some more dense Superman stories in that
same vein.

And with that, Wrestlemania has ended,
and the question that is asked every year…was it as fantastic as
the advertisements and recap packages made it out to be. This year, I
have to say, it was a resounding yes.

The weekend of March 26^th
SCN and Extra Life went out to RAMSCon. What is RAMSCon? It's a con,
but what makes this con different is it's put on by a high school
group. At Waltrip High School, their Asian Multicultural Society put
together a one day con to show their love of anime and video games.

This weekend brings us the biggest PPV
in the professional wrestling world, Wrestlemania. The event is
entering its 28^th year as the pinnacle event not only for
the former World Wrestling Federation, but for the wrestling world as
a whole. Last year’s event left much to be desired in the eyes of
many fans, but looking to the future, it appears that we could have
much to look forward this Sunday. So looking to the positive side,
let’s run down what we have coming at the ‘Showcase of the
Immortals.’

So this is happening, and I love it.  I've always had a soft spot for Carol Danvers, even when she wasn't being drawn by Frank Cho, ahem...but in all seriousness Danvers has been one of the strongest female characters in the MU.  I like both the upgrade to a solo title and the upgrade to her look, meshing costume elements from both Ms. Marvel and the classic Captain Marvel, keeping it classy AND DAT HAIR!
